IAFC manual a tool for self-assessment

The Fire and Emergency Services Self-Assessment Manual, developed by the International Association of Fire Chiefs` Accreditation Task Force, under the direction of California State Fire Marshal Ronny J. Coleman, can be used by departments of any type and size to prepare for the National Fire Service Accreditation Program. Its cost is $200 for IAFC members and $400 for nonmembers. Requests may be faxed to Andrea A. Walter at the IAFC at (703) 273-9363. Workshops to assist departments in conducting a more effective self-assessment are being offered.
