… . Deputy Chief Frank C. Schaper says in the September Roundtable that he has read Lloyd Layman`s Indirect Attack. He later says that “moving down a hot, smoky hallway with two 134-inch handlines–one set on fog and the other on straight stream–is hard to beat. I have to think that Layman had a pretty good idea.” Layman never advocated using fog streams inside a structure. He made a great contribution to the fire service, but we have to be careful to convey his teachings accurately.
