Host Stephanie White speaks with guest Rob Serra about being a probie in the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) on September 11, 2001.
Rob Serra graduated the FDNY academy on September 10, 2001. His very first call was the attack on the World Trade Center, and later in his career he would go on to suffer a career-ending injury. His experiences taught him early that every firefighter needs to be an advocate for the firefighter next to them, and advocacy needs to start long before a problem affects you.
