Drawn by Fire: Simplification

Possession obsession. Time crunch commitments. Endless goal achieving. Negative thoughts. Daunting debt. Talk, talk, talk… and more talk. Social media mania. Multi-task wrestling the work/family/hobby octopus. There is an endless stream of things that can weigh down our lives like a 20-ton anchor, whether self-imposed and uncontrollable external circumstances. We all have our burdens and stressors that can cause problems in every aspect of our lives – some ending in tragic or heartbreaking consequences. It takes a conscious and honest effort to assess our life and make the tough choices to cut ties with what is weighing you down.

Life is complicated, that can’t be avoided, and simplifying things can feel overwhelming—which, of course, is exactly the opposite of what simplifying your life is all about. But you don’t have to change everything at once. Start subtracting something from your life every day. Get rid of some clutter, kick bad habits to the curb, cut out toxic and negative people, take control of your money, carve an hour into your day—make some room somewhere so you can feel lighter and freer. There’s a lot to be said for fully enjoying life’s simplest pleasures to their fullest.

STAY FIRED UP and cut those 20-ton anchors from your life.
