>> The Lickdale Community Fire Company, Jonestown, Pennsylvania, designed this ALEXIS pumper in a size to accommodate the weight limit of its bridges and to negotiate narrow roads with all around easier maneuverability, explains Chief Paul Snyder.

>> The Bible Hill Fire Department, Nova Scotia, Canada, responds first-out with this FORT GARRY FIRE TRUCKS pumper in its hydrant area. Chief Dwane Mellish says that it is the department’s first custom cab that increases firefighter seating and safety. It also has an enclosed pump panel which protects the operator from harsh weather conditions and improves on scene visibility.

>> The South Orange (NJ) Fire Department designed this FERRARA rear-mount aerial ladder truck with a low overall height to fit into the station, says Chief Jeff Markey. The low height also facilitates navigating city streets that intersect with New Jersey Transit railroad bridges that are somewhat lower than newer constructed bridges and underpasses.
