The Willimantic Fire Department in Windham, Connecticut, uses its EMERGENCY ONE tower to protect a city with dense residential, commercial, and industrial properties, many of which are close together, explains Firefighter Peter Bruscato.

The Groveville Fire Company in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, uses its SEAGRAVE medical transport pumper as a first-due, all-emergency response vehicle, according to Chief Mark D. Antozzeski. The company can transport a patient if an ambulance is delayed.

The Fall River (MA) Fire Department designed this KME rescue truck with a nonwalk-in body and a cab with a command center and scuba changing area, according to Safety Officer Captain John F. Dean.

The Golder Ranch (AZ) Fire District, which protects several communities north of Tucson, designed this PIERCE pumper for advanced life support. The four-wheel traction control handles topographical factors and the weather throughout the year, explains Engineer/Paramedic Chris Erickson.

The Queensbury (NY) Central Volunteer Fire Company designed its SMEAL pumper with a short wheelbase for maneuverability. The company protects several malls, a school, a college campus, several “big box” stores, and a large amusement park, according to Assistant Chief Blair S. Davies.
