Automatic Sprinkler Course

An apprentice training course in automatic sprinkler protection has been published by the American Fire Sprinkler Association. The certified correspondence course is 26 lessons, to be completed in a year, and gives 144 hours of instruction reinforced by onthe-job training. The basic training course, which costs $200 for members, is followed by the basic training series and the advanced training series, also $200 each. Non-members pay $400 for each course, or $100 per series for fire and building officials on active duty who apply on their department letterhead.
