STIHL awarded its National Forestry Heroism Award posthumously to Forest Ranger E. Alan McElroy of the Arkansas Forestry Commission. McElroy died from burns suffered in containing a fire threatening an elementary school and a nursing home. Stihl manufactures outdoor power equipment.
