Factory Mutual awards arson fund grants

The following fire departments and associations recently have received arson fund grants from Factory Mutual:

The Lockport (IL) Fire Department was granted $500 to apply toward the purchase of computer equipment to track arson investigations.

The State of Vermont-Police Arson Unit was awarded $3,200 for the purchase of arson investigation equipment.

A $930 grant was awarded to the Providence (RI) Fire Department to be applied toward the purchase of video equipment that will assist in investigating fires and arson.

The Arson Alarm Foundation of Washington, based in Seattle, received a $200 grant. The organization presents awards to individuals who assist in the arrest or conviction of an arsonist.
