Phenix Gateway Receives $60K from San Manuel Band of Mission Indians to Expand Services for Individuals with Disabilities

Phenix Gateway announced that the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians has donated $60,000 to support the continuous expansion of services for individuals with disabilities. Phenix Gateway was one of eight recipients benefitting from the proceeds of the 25th San Manuel Golf Tournament. This contribution will significantly support Phenix Gateway’s mission to empower individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities through comprehensive educational and job readiness training.

The donation will directly enhance several programs including workshops, activities, resource fairs, and mock interviews to advance Phenix Gateway’s vision of an inclusive community that values and uplifts individuals with disabilities.

Angel Sanchez, Jr., President of Phenix Gateway, expressed profound gratitude for the generous donation, emphasizing the transformative impact it will have on their programs and participants. “This contribution from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is a testament to their dedication to creating opportunities and fostering an environment of inclusion and empowerment. The golf tournament was a gathering of over 800 individuals including community leaders, vendors, partners, and members of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians as well as Tribes from around the country, showcasing the Tribe’s spirit of giving and the collective effort to drive positive change. The event featured four days of golf, camaraderie, and shared commitment to making a difference, with a dinner that celebrated the achievements and future goals of Phenix Gateway and the seven other deserving recipients.
