Motorola: Provides access to vital text and graphic information while enroute to or on the scene of an alarm. Documents are retrieved automatically through a dispatch message over radio frequency or manually by entering a street address. Allows selection of just the modules needed now, while allowing for future additions as requirements or technology change. Each module can be adapted to individual or department requirements.
The Strategy Module accesses preincident surveys, material safety data sheets, maps, and other reports for a given location.
The Dispatch Link module sends a dispatch message over a radio frequency to the vehicle, automatically prompting a database search. Relevant documents in the strategy and mapping modules are retrieved. User can determine which documents are automatically displayed.
The Mapping Module quickly locates and centers a given address on a large-scale geographical map. Hydrant and gas line locations can be overlaid on map. Pan and zoom features allow user to control amount of detailed information provided. Module can also support county and metropolitan statistical maps.
