On March 2, PIERCE MANUFACTURING delivered its 5,000th chassis. Custom-built for the Oxnard, California, Fire Department, the Pierce Arrow is powered by a 350-hp Caterpillar engine with an HT-740 Allison transmission. It is equipped with a 500-gallon tank and 1,500-gpm pumping capacity. It was purchased through Fire-Bann Corporation in Ontario, California.
