LDH fittings subject of general recall

LDH fittings subject of general recall

Certain gate valves and Storz-to-female adapters using 412-, five-, or six-inch swivels distributed by the Northline Company of Canada are being recalled. Some of the ball groove adapters, which hold the swivel to a gate valve, elbow adapter, or Storz head, may fail and interrupt the delivery of water. The high-pressure water discharge may cause injury or property damage.

The fittings involved in the recall are shown below. If you are using any of them, do the following:

Examine the Storz coupling portion for the trade name. Only the trade names “HOENIG” and “RENUS (ZR)” are being recalled.

If the device has one of the above trade names, examine the radius on the inside of the swivel end of the fitting (see diagram). If the adapter has a machined taper from the swivel to the waterway, it is not part of the recall. If it has a cast appearance, STOP USING IT AND IMMEDIATELY CONTACT NORTHLINE AT 1-800-786-9697 for instructions.

For more information, call Northline Coupling Systems at the above number.
