Three Chicago (IL) Firefighters Hurt, 27 Displaced in Multihome Fire



According to a report from ABC7, three Chicago (IL) Fire Department (CFD) firefighters were hurt and 27 people displaced after a fire struck two homes in the 4500-block of South Hermitage Avenue in the city’s Back of the Yards neighborhood early Thursday morning.

The CFD responded to the homes shortly before 1 a.m. on the city’s South side.

CFD said two firefighters were treated and in good condition. A third, listed as stable, was transported to Stroger Hospital.

The cause of the incident was not immediately known.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the fire.
