TX Firefighter Dies Following Mobile Home Fire Response

A firefighter with the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department in Texas passed away after his department responded to a mobile home fire in late September, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

On Friday, September 23, 2022, Captain Charles D. Krampota, 60, responded to a fully involved mobile home fire. After extinguishment of the fire and being cleared from the scene, Captain Krampota returned home. Approximately three hours later, he was found deceased from an apparent heart attack. Investigation into the incident continues.
