WI Volunteer Firefighter and EMT, 18, Killed in Motorcycle Crash

According to a report from The Journal Times, Eugene Faust, 18, of Union Grove, Wisconsin, and a volunteer member and emergency medical technician (EMT) with the Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department (UGYFD), was identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on State Highway 11 on July 14.

Police said Faust was not wearing a helmet when he collided with a Nissan Rogue just before 10 p.m. between Sylvania Avenue and 56th Road in Yorkville. He was transported by a Flight for Life helicopter ambulance to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, where he died the following day. The driver of the car, a 43-year-old woman from Sturtveant, was not injured.

Faust’s coworkers at the UGYFD posted that he was proud to be a member of the fire department and was an active part of the team.
